Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Submissions should be in UK English, simple and concise. Jargons should be avoided.
  • They should be original contributions. Author(s) is/are assumed to have obtained necessary permission from any copyright holder(s) to reproduce the materials not owned by them including tables, diagrams and photographs in the article.
  • Author(s) will have to confirm that the manuscript has not been published and has not been submitted for review or publication in its current or a substantially similar form.
  • Manuscripts submissions should be in Microsoft Word 2007, typed in double spacing and of Time New Roman Font.
  • Acceptable paper size is A4 (21cm × 29.7 cm OR 8.5’ by 11’), 2.54 cm (1’) margins.
  • Use Equation Editor for every equation and number them serially
  • The first page should contain only the Manuscript title, Author(s) name (in full, Surname first), Affiliation, e-mail addresses and telephone numbers. Font size for the Title should be 16pt, 12 pts for Names of Author(s) and 11 pts for other information.
  • The Title should be concise and not more than 21 words.
  • The Second page should contain the Manuscript Abstract of not more than 250 words; It should identify the contribution to existing knowledge
  • The body of the Manuscript should have sub-division such as the problem, methodology, results, discussion and conclusion.
  • Capitalize each word of the subheads only.
  • The content of each sub-division should tally with the sub-title respectively.
  • Use Times New Roman font, size 12 pt throughout.
  • Non-English words should be italicised.
  • Quotations of more than 40 words should be indented and single spaced.
  • Arabic numerals below ten should be in words and higher numbers in figures.
  • Authors should refer to current APA manuals for proper guidance.
  • Include tables and figures at appropriate points in the text and plan their layout to use page space economically.
  • All figures and tables must be cited in the text, in numerical order.
  • All the figures and tables should be clearly legible.
  • Colour figures may be printed in black and white.
  • Embed all graphics in the word-processed file and ensure that standard fonts are used.

Author Guidelines

Manuscript Length:

  • Articles should not be more than 8,000 words in length, including Footnotes, References, Acknowledgements, Appendices, etc.

  • Author(s) will have to confirm that the manuscript has not been published and has not been submitted for review or publication in its current or a substantially similar form.

Footnotes (where necessary) These should be provided at the foot of each manuscript page. They should be numbered consecutively throughout and of smaller 10pt size.
